Sally Whittaker (born May 3, 1963) is a British soap opera actress. She was born in Manchester, England.

She has made a career out of playing Sally Seddon Webster, a bad girl turned tame, on the soap opera Coronation Street. She debuted on the serial in January 1986 and has been with the programme ever since. Before debuting on the show, Whittaker trained at Oldham Repertory Theatre .

Before winning the role of Sally, Whittaker auditioned for the roles of Sue Clayton and Michelle Robinson. She didn’t get either role, but the roles she failed to win were not as long-term as Sally Webster proved to be. The casting directors were interested in the actress, and the role of Sally Webster was created just for the actress.

After first appearing on Corrie, Whittaker was featured in very popular, yet tasteful centerfolds in fan magazines; her popularity soared among men in the British Armed Forces as a result.
